Zooey Deschanel Coming to Broadway?

Rumor has it that Zooey Deschanel will be coming to Broadway in the near future as Loretta Lynn in the autobiographical musical COAL MINER'S DAUGHTER.

No dates or additional casting has been announced at this point, but this is interesting news because I'm not sure if Deschanel has the right voice for Broadway. I love Deschanel's voice for singer/songwriter indie stuff, but I really don't think that will translate on stage to a powerful country/Broadway voice. Only time will tell I guess...
