Adam Pascal to Take the Lead in Memphis

Adam Pascal, the original Roger in Rent, will take over the role of Huey in the Tony Award Winning Best Musical Memphis on October 25th after the original star Chad Kimball departs the production on the 23rd.

BREAKING! Nick Jonas to Replace Criss in How to Succeed!

On January 24th, 2012, pop star Nick Jonas will replace Glee cast member Darren Criss as J. Pierrepont Finch in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Criss will take over the role for a 3 week stint from Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.

I'm not sure I agree with the casting choice, but I understand why it was made. He will definitely sell tickets!

Sting & Yorkey Team Up for New Musical

Popular musician Sting and Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal) have teamed up to write a new original musical entitled The Last Ship. The musical, which is aimed for an October reading, will feature music and lyrics by Sting and a book written by Yorkey.

Yorkey will also direct the musical which is set in 1980's Newcastle.

Kelli O'Hara to Join Broderick in New Show

Kelli O'Hara (South Pacific) is going to be joining Matthew Broderick (The Producers, How to Succeed in Business) in a new musical directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes). The show, Nice Work if You Can Get It, is projected to open on Broadway this spring and features a book by Joe DiPietro (Memphis) and hit songs from George and Ira Gershwin. I know I'm excited for this!
