The recently shuttered Off-Broadway production of CARRIE, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, will preserve itself with a cast recording with Sh-K-Boom. This will be the first cast recording of the show ever (which isn't surprising considering the original production ran for about 2 minutes).
Marin Mazzie (Ragtime, Next to Normal) and Molly Ranson (Jerusalem) will be featured on the recording. There is no release date set yet, but the cast will record the album next week on April 17th.
This is interesting news and I guess it's good that this show will finally be preserved in some sense.
