Emma Stone & Paul Rudd Set for THE APARTMENT

Emma Stone & Paul Rudd will co-star in an upcoming reading of THE APARTMENT this Friday in Manhattan. THE APARTMENT is based off of the 1960s movie of the same name. For anyone who may think this name is familiar, it's because the same film was the basis for the hit Broadway musical PROMISES, PROMISES (recently revived on Broadway with Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes).

Rudd will play C.C. Baxter and Stone will play his love interest Fran Kubelik. Also set for the reading are James Woods (Sheldrake), Tom Cavanagh (Dobisch), Cara Buono (Secretary), David Wain (Dreyfuss), Jason Sudeikis, and Lena Dunham.

Based on the reading's website, it seems like this is a one-time thing and that it isn't a developmental reading. So I doubt we'll see this on Broadway anytime soon. Especially because in my opinion, PROMISES is enough of this story for a lifetime.
