Boyd Gaines, Margaret Colin Join THE COLUMNIST


Boyd Gaines (Gypsy, Driving Miss Daisy) and Margaret Colin (Gossip Girl, Arcadia) have both been announced to be joining John Lithgow in David Auburn's new play THE COLUMNIST on Broadway. The play, opening in April, is about the power of the columnist in mid-century America. In this case, Lithgow's character is king.

Gaines will be playing Lithgow's brother, while Colin will be playing his wife. All three are great actors and I think Auburn is a genius (I loved Proof), so I'm really excited for this show!

    The play is about Joe Alsop, who made his mark as a powerful columnist for The Washington Post during the 1960s and 70s.
