KINKY BOOTS had an invite-only workshop in New York this month and has been in development for at least three years. This will serve as Lauper's first ever musical score. Fierstein is a an established book writer with credits including La Cage Aux Folles and Newsies.
This could be interesting. I'm holding out on a verdict.
